Chief Executive Officer

The client is seeking a broad-based strategic executive leader to serve as CEO, responsible for developing and executing the airport’s vision and strategy. The role provides inspirational leadership and partnership across airport operations, partner relationships, personnel management, fiscal administration, customer satisfaction, and safety and security, and includes serving as the airport’s primary representative with government and regulatory bodies as well as industry stakeholders at local and national levels. Key responsibilities include setting and implementing strategic vision, goals, and objectives in alignment with board directives, addressing future growth opportunities and challenges, and ensuring financial stewardship and performance. The CEO will monitor national and regional trends to adapt strategies to evolving transportation needs, oversee planning and delivery of airport services with an emphasis on reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction, and drive continuous improvement through policies, procedures, and operational and technological advancements, including major construction, development, service offering, and technology initiatives. The CEO will oversee annual budgeting, fiscal responsibility, and transparent financial reporting, including identifying and presenting funding sources such as grants, public-private partnerships, and revenue initiatives, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The position also includes leading a diverse workforce and contract partner relationships, overseeing employee and labor relations matters including collective bargaining objectives and negotiations, supporting recruitment and talent development, and advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion; additionally, it requires regulatory compliance, risk identification and mitigation, and responsibility for emergency preparedness and response.
