Job Overview A law firm seeks a Business Tax Associate in Los Angeles. This role involves working with a distinguished transactional tax team on complex domestic and cross-border business transactions for a diverse clientele, including public and private companies, private equity funds, and nonprofit organizations. Duties Advise on tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings. Collaborate on private equity transactions and fund formations. Draft and negotiate tax provisions in various agreements. Prepare detailed tax memoranda and analyses. Engage in cross-practice group collaboration to provide business-oriented advice. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of tax experience in a law firm setting. Strong technical tax skills and excellent judgment. Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable with innovative technology platforms. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. LL.M. in Taxation preferred. Certifications Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
