Patient Transporter PRN

The Patient Transporter - PRN is responsible for transporting patients, staff, etc., and materials (medical equipment, supplies, etc.) to all areas within the JPS Health Network.

Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:

1. Transports patients (via wheelchairs, gurney, or beds) as directed.
2. Provides friendly and courteous customer service to all customers.
3. Actively participates, communicates and engages with medical staff during the hand off process. Asks questions when needed.
4. Assists in maintaining adequate availability of equipment and supplies. Notifies director or lead if inventories get low.
5. Performs other job related duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Current JPS recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and must be maintained throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
