Where You Will Work Our Henderson mine and mill are an hour drive apart – separated by the Continental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles underground). The Henderson mine is an underground molybdenum mining operation located approximately 42 miles west of Denver and 10 miles west of Empire. It has been in operation since 1976 and today consists of a large block-cave, underground mining complex feeding a concentrator with a current capacity of approximately 32,000 metric tons per day. It can produce approximately 15 million pounds of molybdenum per year. The Henderson mill is located 15 miles west of the mine, between Dillon and Kremmling. Both sites are surrounded by US Forest Service land of the Arapaho National Forest, making it easy for our employees and their families to enjoy year-round hiking, cross‑country skiing, and snowshoeing in the area. Employees who are required to work on‑site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines. Description Highly skilled mechanic who, under supervision, safely performs diagnostic, maintenance and repair of underground mobile equipment (loaders, haul trucks, graders, bobcats, skid steers, concrete trucks). Perform troubleshooting and system/component diagnostics; replace and repair power trains, hydraulic systems, electrical low‑voltage systems, engines, pneumatics/AC systems, and frames; conduct engine, transmission, power‑train, and hydraulic motor replacements. Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on underground haul trucks, front‑end loaders, electrical and/or hydraulic drills and bolters and other utility support vehicles. PM includes scheduled hour services, changing fluids, filters, inspections and component checks. Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed. Perform welding (mig, stick, tig, arc) and fabrication duties: frame repairs, brackets, and body work. Train and mentor other employees. Perform emission testing on underground equipment. Complete work‑area inspections and housekeeping duties. Act as a Fill‑in Supervisor as required. Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, cranes, presses, front‑end loaders, and mine tractors. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Two (2) years’ experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts (welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance/construction) or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance. Completed academic and practical competencies required (including Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP exists). HEM Diagnostic Mechanic I: Practical Skills Assessments defined in LOP. Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety‑related instructions and procedures in English. Proficient at troubleshooting and diagnosing hydraulic and electric systems. Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Criteria/Conditions This is a safety‑sensitive role. May be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation. Work requires standing, sitting, manual dexterity, climbing stairs and ladders, working on elevated platforms, talking, hearing, seeing, and operating in confined spaces. May be required to lift moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday. Personal protective equipment is required: hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, respirator, rubber steel‑toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and other equipment as required. What We Offer You The estimated pay range for this role is currently $30.50 – $40.50 per hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job‑related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
