Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Holiday / Every Other Weekend | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week Available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Safely administer medications, including IV drips such as Cardizem, heparin, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin, in accordance with state practice standards and facility policies.
• Manage and monitor patients requiring chest tubes, Foley catheters, and advanced oxygen modalities including BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and standard nasal cannula.
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips; recognize and respond to dysrhythmias and rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments, including communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and advocate for patient safety, spiritual care, palliative care, and ethical considerations.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice or covered under a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from an approved source required prior to direct patient care.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification required.
• Ability to pass a Dysrhythmia exam at orientation (study guide provided).
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience, with at least 6 months in an acute care hospital setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for cardiac, oncology, and step-down patient populations.
• Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• CCRN or PCCN certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
