The ideal candidate is a team player who takes pride in providing excellent service to our residents.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with meal preparation and food service according to established menus and dietary requirementsPrepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages to residentsDeliver meals to resident rooms and dining areas as neededSet up and clean dining areas before and after mealsWash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipmentMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and food service equipmentFollow proper food handling, sanitation, and infection-control proceduresFollow residents' specific diets and meal requirementsAssist with portioning and plating mealsStock and organize food, supplies, and kitchen itemsMonitor food temperatures and follow food safety guidelinesReport resident concerns, dietary issues, or changes in appetite to the appropriate staffFollow all facility policies and proceduresMaintain a professional and respectful relationship with residents, families, and staffPerform other dietary duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious dietary, food service, or healthcare experience preferredSkilled nursing or healthcare dietary experience is a plusKnowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices preferredDependable, punctual, and reliableStrong attention to detailAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentAbility to communicate professionally with residents and staffAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties associated with food serviceCommitment to providing courteous and respectful service to residentsWhy Join East Bay Post Acute?As a member of our dietary team, you will play an important role in supporting the health, comfort, and overall dining experience of our residents.
