Job Title Dental Assistant Overview Perfect Smile Dental Care is a growing group of two dental offices located in Santa Clara and San Jose, California. Your Role as a Dental Assistant The Dental Assistant performs duties such as preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist with procedures in restorative dentistry or oral surgery, preparing materials and equipment, taking x‑rays, and assisting in laboratory work. In addition, the assistant may manage appointments, answer the phone, order supplies, and perform other related duties as directed by the Office Manager. Desired Experience and Qualifications Minimum 3 years experience working in a professional medical or dental environment with direct customer service. Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills; ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships. Can‑do attitude, proactive nature, a strong sense of ownership and integrity, and a desire to learn and grow. Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and equipment. Customer‑service oriented and able to communicate with a pleasant demeanor at all times. Effective written and verbal communication with all staff and management. Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and ability to perform duties in a timely manner.
