Scope of Position
Assistant General Manager
The Assistant General Manager of Renault Winery & Resort is a key property leader responsible for supporting the Resort General Manager in the daily leadership, execution, and performance of the resort.
This role requires a highly visible, hands-on hospitality professional with strong operational leadership across Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, guest services, team leadership, and luxury resort standards.
The Assistant General Manager serves as a culture carrier, service ambassador, operational problem-solver, and revenue-minded leader. At Renault Winery & Resort, we are more than a hotel, winery, or event venue—we are a destination where guests come to celebrate life, experience excellence, and feel “Welcome Home.”
Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture
- Promote and embody the VIVAMEE Virtues of Joy, Humility, and Ministry.
- Serve as a visible leader and ambassador for Renault Winery & Resort.
- Ensure alignment with all company policies, procedures, and service standards.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Weddings, Sales & Marketing, IT, Security, and Engineering.
- Ensure SOPs are consistently executed and continuously improved.
- Serve as Manager-on-Duty as required.
Financial & Performance Management
- Support development and management of resort and departmental budgets.
- Drive labor management, scheduling, forecasting, and cost controls.
- Identify revenue-generating opportunities, promotions, and package offerings.
- Collaborate on pricing strategies with leadership and Sales teams.
Food & Beverage & Catering Leadership
- Partner with culinary and F&B leaders to ensure execution excellence.
- Support menu development and programming.
- Participate in BEO meetings and event planning.
- Monitor performance to ensure profitability and guest satisfaction.
Guest Experience & Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with guests, clients, and VIPs.
- Serve as a visible presence ensuring exceptional service standards.
- Lead service recovery and continuous improvement efforts.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop team members and department leaders.
- Manage performance, recognition, and disciplinary processes.
- Foster a positive, engaging, and values-driven work environment.
Safety, Compliance & Facilities
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and labor regulations.
- Conduct property walkthroughs and maintain facility standards.
- Partner with Engineering to maintain operational excellence.
Sales, Marketing & Brand Support
- Support development and execution of marketing and promotional strategies.
- Collaborate on programming, events, and social media initiatives.
- Partner with third-party marketing and entertainment vendors as needed.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience in a 4-star or upscale full-service hotel or resort.
- Strong operational knowledge across Rooms Division and Food & Beverage.
- Proven leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to service excellence and guest satisfaction.

Skills and Abilities
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-touch hospitality environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple departments and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality systems.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
