We are currently seeking a Gastroenterology Physician for a locum tenens position near Twin Rocks, Pennsylvania . This is a great opportunity to provide both inpatient and outpatient care with a mix of clinic hours and on-call responsibilities. The assignment is set to start October 28, 2024 , and ends November 4, 2024 , with additional on-call coverage needed at the end of December. Key Details:

• Location : Near Twin Rocks, Pennsylvania
• Start Date : October 28, 2024
• End Date : November 4, 2024 (Additional dates: December 30-31, 2024)
• Practice Setting : Combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient coverage

* Call Hours :

• Week-long call from 5 PM to 5 PM
• Clinic hours from 8 AM to 4 PM during non-call days
• Call coverage is also required for two days at the end of December
• Volume : 5-10 inpatient consults per day during on-call hours
• Patients per Shift : Information not provided

Requirements:

• Board Certification : Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible within five years of residency, in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Gastroenterology
• Fellowship : Completed a Gastroenterology Fellowship
• License : Active Pennsylvania state license
• Certifications : BLS is required

* Skills & Procedures :

• Upper and Lower GI endoscopy with biopsy
• Foreign body removal
• Fulguration of bleeders
• ERCP (Diagnostic and Therapeutic)
• Sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, and liver biopsy
