As a Registered Nurse in the ICU during daytime shifts, your input in patient care is both valued and encouraged at every opportunity. Job Overview and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional, patient-focused care that aligns with the specific needs of the department and adheres to the standards of practice relevant to the state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other members of the healthcare team, the RN provides tailored, comprehensive, and compassionate care utilizing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.

• Conducts procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring timely and thorough documentation of care in the patient’s medical record.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up actions, simplifying complex medical terminology for better understanding.
• Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-medical follow-up actions, such as healthy eating, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications, preparing them for future self-management.
• Implements evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives to meet and surpass quality standards, enhancing the exceptional care provided to patients.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to manage the quality of care, coordinating, evaluating, customizing, and delivering a holistic treatment plan that fosters recovery.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within one year of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be acquired within 30 days of starting employment.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be completed within one year of starting employment.
• Must hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Possession of a Registered Nurse Diploma or an Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
