Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking an Controls Engineer to join their team. We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation systems.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, interfacing with customers, and leading projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC/PAC programming, system architecture design, and data collection systems, along with the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain programming standards and code templates to improve project efficiency.
• Manage projects effectively, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
• Lead both large and small automation projects, both internally and at customer sites.
• Design machine control system architecture, including electrical schematics and network diagrams.
• Specify and program data collection systems that integrate with PLCs/PACs.
• Integrate control system architecture with MES systems.
• Lead teams of controls engineers on larger projects.
• Provide input for project quoting and estimating to the Applications team.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians regarding programming, commissioning, and debugging.
• Travel to customer sites for equipment installation, training, and support.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in controls engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, demands, and timelines, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
