Medical Technician

The Medical Technician performs tasks and procedures under general supervision to assist other Technicians and Technologists. Incumbent works with specimens for the laboratory, including collection, processing, and disposal. Strictly follows hospital and regulatory guidelines in carrying out duties of position, and provides general support to maintain laboratory records and supplies.

Duties & Responsibilities

Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations. Follows department and hospital policies and procedures. Provides support for the needs of the laboratory.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent. Related health experience is preferred. On-the-job training may be provided. Proficiency in the English language required.
