Position: Travel RN - Emergency Department

Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

Location: Aurora, CO

Unit Information

The Emergency Department is a dynamic unit consisting of:

• Number of Beds: 50
• Number of Staff: 68
• Types of Staff:
  
  
  • Day Shift: 7-8 RNs, 2-3 EMTs/Medics
  • Mid Shift: 8-10 RNs
  • Night Shift: 7-8 RNs, 2-3 EMTs/Medics
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:5 (estimated, not guaranteed)
• Type of Equipment: EKGs, Cardiac Monitors, Blood Glucose Monitors
• EMR System: Meditech

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital Emergency Department experience
• Required Certifications:
  
  
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIH (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• Preferred Experience: Level 1 Trauma and Stroke experience

• Providing comprehensive care for patients in the Emergency Department
• Collaborating effectively with team members and healthcare providers
