Role Description We are seeking an organized, dependable, and self-motivated Litigation Paralegal to join our Nashville law office. This position will work closely with the supervising attorney and will play an integral role in managing civil and criminal matters from initial intake through resolution. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working independently, managing multiple active cases and deadlines, and taking initiative in a fast-paced, hands-on legal environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines are essential. Responsibilities include Manage and organize active case files from intake through resolution Maintain the attorney's calendar and track court dates, hearings, filing deadlines, discovery deadlines, and other important dates Draft, edit, format, and electronically file pleadings, motions, notices, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and other parties Prepare and respond to discovery requests and organize supporting documentation Obtain, review, organize, and maintain medical records, discovery materials, exhibits, and other case documents Assist with trial and hearing preparation, including organizing exhibits, pleadings, notebooks, and electronic materials Attend court proceedings and trials as needed to assist the attorney with documents, exhibits, and note-taking Maintain organized physical and electronic case files Monitor cases and proactively identify upcoming deadlines and tasks Assist with general administrative responsibilities necessary for the day-to-day operation of a small law office Qualifications Foundational knowledge of Law and legal procedures, with the ability to understand and apply relevant legal concepts. Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation and Document Review, including drafting, formatting, and organizing pleadings, contracts, and correspondence. Effective Communication abilities, including clear written communication and professional interaction with attorneys, clients, and external parties. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Paralegal certificate or relevant coursework, or comparable experience in a law firm or legal setting preferred. Ability to work on-site in Nashville, TN, collaborate with a legal team, and uphold confidentiality and ethical standards. #J-18808-Ljbffr
