Student Transportation Officer

Student Transportation Officer Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! The Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Student Transportation Officer at San Pasqual Academy in Escondido, California. San Pasqual Academy is located on a beautiful 238-acre campus in rural San Pasqual Valley. The campus includes classrooms, an auditorium, gym, cafeteria, and offers sports such as basketball, softball, and football. Residential staff and house parents serve as surrogate parents who mentor, tutor, and teach independent living skills, and support student development. Pay and Benefits Pay: starting at $19.00 an hour. You will be eligible for medical insurance on the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment. You will be eligible for the full Rite of Passage Benefits Package after 90 days of full-time employment. 403b match of up to 6% after one year of employment. Paid Time Off that can be used as soon as it accrues. Responsibilities Safely transport students to and from school, medical appointments, court hearings, extracurricular activities, and community outings. Operate agency vehicles in compliance with laws and policies. Supervise youth during transport to ensure their safety and well-being. Maintain accurate transportation logs and vehicle inspection reports. Coordinate schedules with staff to support timely and reliable services. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and meet ROP eligible driver requirements. Acceptable driving record for the past 3 years. At least 21 years of age. Pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test. Pass a search of the Child Abuse Central Registry.
