This person has the following key roles: ensure the process performs per plan, process confirmations, leads in SPS, and supports and participates in plant shutdown. Relationships Reports to Manager, Facilities. Essential Functions Execute the department plan by leading the operation, monitoring & controlling of equipment, systems, & processes within the work cell Enforce all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties Address any safety, quality, staffing, or personnel issues & escalates to Manager if necessary Facilitate a productive, engaging, & safe working environment Schedule maintenance activities using SAP in collaboration with logistics planning and assist in department planning. Execute standard work according to department plan supported by the Manager. Prioritize & lead unplanned maintenance activities based on business need Schedule work cell resources to include breaks, lunches, & other activities Participate in shutdown team planning & execution. Develop work packages for shutdown activities Confirm that maintenance activities are performed per standards Support facilities engineers in developing new or improved maintenance methods & procedures (SOPs) Own KPIs & contribute to KPI reporting Ensure team members are trained to the standard. Monitor performance & the completion of training to assure the competency level of work cell team members Review documentation (work orders and PM) for accuracy & completeness & perform technical completion of PM01 & PM02 orders Identify & handle deviations, per proper procedures. Support cross‑functional investigations. Own nonconformities, QAPs and CRs as assigned Lead, conduct, & participate in systematic problem solving Own continuous improvement plans, provide support to facilities technicians, own CRs & actions as assigned Provide performance review input for work cell team members as requested by Manager Support Facility Manager & fulfill responsibilities as needed Other accountabilities as assigned Physical Requirements Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Ability to be on feet for up to a 12‑hour shift. May require corrected vision to 20/25. May require color vision. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. May work in confined spaces for inspection, repair & maintenance of equipment. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. Requires the ability to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks, but does not require a valid driver’s license. Qualifications Associate’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent military training or industrial training that includes a thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical & control systems (preferred) Minimum of 3‑5 years of relevant work experience required; FDA‑regulated industry/environment preferred Qualified to perform operator & maintenance activities on work cell equipment required Knowledgeable in compressed air, WFI, pre treatment, HVAC, chill water, heating hot water, boilers, plant steam, clean steam, electrical distribution, vacuum compressed air, electro‑mechanical controls, electrical, mechanical & instrumentation (preferred) Experience with automated records systems such as SAP, schematics, wiring diagrams & other technical documents.
