Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

Overview American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with CVOR experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level II trauma center hospital in Asheville, NC. Requirements Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required CST certification is mandatory; state license required if applicable Critical care experience required; PreOp experience is a plus BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start) Active, current experience in the specialty within the last 6 months required Proficiency with BCMA and electronic documentation Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Excellent communication skills for interdepartmental collaboration US SSN and DOB required for consideration One professional reference required (two references required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri) Responsibilities Hospital CVOR unit (CV PreOp) located in the Heart Tower building Day shift hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday Patient ratio of 1:1 in a 4-bed unit Stay-late on-call required 1–2 times per week Floating within scope of practice and experience Procedures include large-bore IV starts, hair removal, medication administration, skin assessment, and assistance with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement Assists with patient transport to OR, induction/intubation, positioning, and skin prep GE Carescape monitoring and Fuji ultrasound equipment used on unit Documentation via Cerner Unit is supported by RNs, a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), secretary, and a shared management team with the CVOR Scrubs are provided by the facility This is a travel-only position — candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months This hospital is a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and home to the only open heart and interventional cardiology program in the region The facility has earned Magnet® Designation, a Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade of 'A,' and has been recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals by Healthgrades The hospital operates the busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas and holds a three-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-711583 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
