Aerospace company based in Los Angeles is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II! Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic II Shift Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (plus OT) Location: South Bay Pay: $25.00- $33.00 (depending on experience)
Job Class: Temp-to-Hire Description: Keep plant machinery and equipment in good repair. Maintains, analyzes, and corrects problems of standard machinery as required.
- Make repairs, replacements, adjustments, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance
- General mechanical maintenance on various mechanical equipment such as pumps, cranes, hoist, hydraulics systems, vacuum pumps, and basic vehicle repairs
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
- Install new equipment
- Arc, Gas, TIG/MIG Welding
- Demonstrates an advanced knowledge of mechanical and facilities repair and maintenance
- Ability to read, interpret, and verbally communicate documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
- Experience in hydraulics, ability to read schematics, hydraulic and electrical
- Read and understand complicated blueprints and specifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Pass background and drug screen
