Cardiac OR RNFA

Schedule

This position primarily operates on weekdays with shifts from 7a-7p and 11a-11p. On-call responsibilities will be required as needed per unit requirements.

Job Description

The Cardiac OR RNFA will play a critical role in assisting with chest exposure and closing procedures, as well as independently performing vein harvesting for CABG procedures. While experience with DaVinci robotic cases is preferred, it is not a requirement. The RNFA should also be capable of scrubbing and circulating complex cardiac cases which may include CABGs, structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall), minimally invasive procedures (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure cases (e.g., Impella). Additionally, experience with heart transplants is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with chest exposure and closure during cardiac procedures.
• Independently perform vein harvesting for CABG surgeries.
• Support in scrubbing and circulating for complex cardiac procedures.
• Provide on-call support as per unit needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac RNFA.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NYS RN license required.
• CNOR certification is mandatory.
• Experience in telemetry is required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
