Cloud Engineer Specialist (AWS/Azure)

Salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 5+ years of related professional experience.
• We need an undergraduate degree in a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of training and experience.
• We look for experience modernizing legacy MFT or batch-based integrations into cloud-native architectures.
• We value familiarity with Axway B2Bi, Sterling Connect:Direct, AWS Transfer Family, or comparable platforms in hybrid or cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
• We expect knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as Python, Shell, Java, and SQL.
• We need a working understanding of the ITIL framework and familiarity with ServiceNow or similar tools.
• We look for experience building or consuming REST APIs and event-driven integrations.
• We value familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• We expect experience working with mainframe technology.
• We look for experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments, with financial services experience considered a plus.
• We value exposure to observability tools, including logging, tracing, and metrics, in cloud environments.
• We require the ability to commute to the office on a hybrid schedule, three days per week.
• We require the ability to participate in on-call rotational after-hours coverage.

• We design, build, and support cloud-based integration and data transmission solutions using AWS services and modern development methods.
• We provide intermediate-level Data Transmission Services support, including setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing support for external data transmissions for business clients.
• We diagnose, debug, and resolve complex transmission incidents, restoring service promptly in line with service level objectives and communicating findings, recommendations, and risks to leadership when needed.
• We develop and maintain automation, tooling, and services that support secure and dependable data exchange with external partners.
• We implement solutions with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines to enable repeatable, scalable, and well-governed deployments.
• We modernize legacy MFT and batch-based integrations toward API-driven, event-based, and serverless patterns where appropriate.
• We collaborate with internal application teams, security, networking, business partners, and external partners to design effective integration architectures.
• We support production data transmission environments, including participation in an on-call rotation to maintain service availability and stability.
• We follow Data Transmission Services policies, standards, and operating procedures, and help create, review, and improve documentation and runbooks where gaps exist.
• We contribute to architectural discussions, technical documentation, and coding standards.
• We ensure solutions meet security, risk, and compliance requirements, including encryption, authentication, logging, and monitoring.
• We participate actively in modernization initiatives and proof-of-concepts aligned with our technology strategy.
• We take part in special projects and other assigned initiatives and duties.
• We provide technical guidance, leadership, and mentorship through design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting support, and knowledge-sharing activities that strengthen team capability.
