About the Opportunity As our Managing DVM, you’ll play a vital role in both the clinical and operational success of the practice. This is the perfect opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys practicing high‑quality medicine and leading by example. You’ll be responsible for: Providing medical and non‑medical leadership within the hospital Managing and mentoring associate veterinarians Ensuring compliance with all veterinary medical policies and regulations Fostering a culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement Driving medical excellence and advancing standards of care Collaborating with hospital leadership on operational decisions Monitoring financial performance and helping set strategic goals for continued growth This position offers a unique blend of hands‑on clinical practice and leadership influence—ideal for someone who’s excited to take ownership in both patient outcomes and team development. Essential Responsibilities Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries. Operate diagnostic equipment, collect diagnostic samples, and interpret results. Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options. Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed. Provide counsel around pet end‑of‑life care. Maintain patients’ medical records. Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures. Requirements / Qualifications DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution. Appropriate state licensure. Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients. Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
