Anesthesia Technologist

Schedule: Days - Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, on call/callback, holidays, weekends as needed per unit.

Assignment Details: Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements:

• BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association ONLY).
• Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Technologist.
• Certification by a nationally recognized professional certifying body preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia, including preparation of equipment, placement of monitors, and ensuring cleanliness and availability of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Communicate continuously with anesthesiologists, residents, and CRNAs to ensure their needs are met.
• Operate the cell-saver machine and participate in various advanced surgical cases.
• Ensure anesthesia equipment is in good working order, perform preventive maintenance, and serve as a resource for equipment use and maintenance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for staff regarding their roles and responsibilities.
• Set up and maintain anesthesia equipment, including infusion pumps, nerve stimulators, and machines, ensuring readiness for procedures.
• Provide backup support in the absence of the shift supervisor.
