RN - PCU

Critical Care Stepdown Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 19:00 - 07:00, every other weekend required.

The Critical Care Stepdown Registered Nurse will provide patient care to adult and geriatric populations in a 31-bed unit. The positions require proficiency in managing cardiac drips, chest tubes, and familiarity with advanced medical equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient conditions in stepdown settings.
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips, and manage chest tubes.
• Utilize medical equipment such as Baxter IV pumps and epidural pumps as necessary.
• Ensure efficient documentation using Meditech EHR.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a critical care stepdown or PCU environment.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• ADN or BSN degree from an accredited institution.
