Assistant Property Manager

We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Avalon Villas in Irving, TX. This community is entering an exciting transition phase with significant capital improvements and repositioning and we need a strong operational partner to help us lead the way. This is more than a support role — it’s an opportunity to grow your leadership skills while playing a key role in a turnaround and lease-up strategy.
T he Opportunity
As Assistant Property Manager, you will work closely with the Property Manager to support:
- Major capital improvement and renovation initiatives
- Operational turnaround efforts
- Aggressive lease-up and occupancy growth strategies
- Financial performance and resident satisfaction goals
You’ll be at the center of daily operations during a transformative period — helping to stabilize, strengthen, and elevate the community.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Financial Support
- Assist with budgeting, reporting, rent collections, and delinquency management
- Support expense control and revenue optimization efforts
- Ensure compliance with company policies and housing regulations
Capital Improvement Coordination
- Help coordinate vendor access and project scheduling
- Communicate renovation updates to residents professionally and proactively
- Support tracking of project timelines and unit readiness
Leasing & Lease-Up Execution
- Support leasing initiatives and marketing outreach
- Help drive traffic, conversions, and retention
- Maintain accurate availability and inventory reporting
Resident Experience & Team Collaboration
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Address resident concerns promptly and professionally
- Serve as a steady, solutions-focused presence during change
Qualifications
- Multifamily property management experience required
- Experience supporting capital improvement projects preferred
- Exposure to turnaround or lease-up environments highly desirable
- Strong financial and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and organization abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, evolving environment
