And since we're local, you'll be home every night.What you'll do:Drop off and pick up equipment for customersOperate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") consistent with DOT classification CDL-AMaintain driver's logs and complete pre-trip inspectionsSuggest additional equipment and supplies customers may needMust also be able to operate boom trucks and cranes in accordance with manufacturer specificationsAdhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety RegulationsOther duties assigned as neededRequirements:Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving recordHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving ExperienceSuperior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skillsAbility to frequently lift items up to 45 lbsBasic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving proceduresDiligent attention to safetyThis position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.United Rentals, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and makes employment decisions regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, genetic information, citizenship status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or any other status protected by law.
