Financial Systems Analyst – Service Corporation International Join to apply for the Financial Systems Analyst role at Service Corporation International Overview The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and maintaining the company’s financial systems with a focus on Oracle Cloud ERP. This role serves as a key liaison between Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to ensure system integrity, optimize business processes, and drive continuous improvement within financial applications. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary administrator and functional expert for Oracle Cloud Financials, including modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, and Projects. Support system configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and integrations related to financial systems. Perform system testing for enhancements, patches, and upgrades to ensure data accuracy and proper functionality. Manage security roles, user access, and workflow approvals within Oracle Cloud. Identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement within financial operations. Provide end‑user training and create documentation for system procedures and best practices. Utilize troubleshooting skills to identify issues, analyze options, and suggest solutions that provide the best resolution for the company. Monitor interface emails, interface results, and reports to ensure that interface files are distributed and consumed as designed. Perform SOX controls or necessary reporting on a scheduled basis to ensure company policies and procedures are followed appropriately. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. 3–5+ years of experience supporting financial systems, with at least 2 years of hands‑on Oracle Cloud Financials experience. Strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial processes. Experience with reporting tools such as OTBI, BI Publisher, Smart View, or FRS. Familiarity with integrations and data flows between Oracle and other enterprise systems. Proficient in Excel, SQL, and other data analysis tools. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment and work effectively with cross‑functional teams. Good leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills. Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of management, end‑users, and peers. Basic understanding of databases and standard file layouts for conversions and interfaces.
