Pay: $18.00 per hour

Unk’s Place is seeking a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Residential Environment Specialist . This position plays a critical role in helping maintain a clean, safe, welcoming, and structured environment for the youth we serve.

Position Overview

The Residential Environment Specialist position is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of the residential group home. This role helps ensure the home remains safe, comfortable, and presentable for youth, staff, visitors, and licensing requirements.

This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while supporting a mission-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the residential home
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, offices, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces daily
• Assist with laundry, linen changes, and trash removal
• Help maintain organization and cleanliness standards throughout the home
• Monitor and report supply needs or maintenance concerns
• Support staff with meal preparation/cooking assistance
• Ensure the home remains welcoming, professional, and inspection-ready
• Follow agency safety procedures and sanitation standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous cleaning, housekeeping, janitorial, or residential support experience preferred but not required
• Ability to safely lift and move cleaning supplies and equipment
• Ability to pass required background checks and clearances
