Certified Veterinary Technician - Surgery Lead Medford, OR West Main Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team as a Surgical Lead . This role will take ownership of surgical and procedure workflow while providing clinical leadership, training, and mentorship to the technician team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who wants to fully utilize their skillset with autonomy, trust, and support in a fast-paced, collaborative general practice environment. The Surgical Lead will help ensure procedures run efficiently and safely while serving as a resource and mentor for fellow technicians. From induction through recovery, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care alongside a veterinary team that values skilled technicians. In this position, you will take an active role in: Managing daily surgical and procedure workflow, including scheduling, case preparation, and coordination with the veterinary team Preparing surgical and procedure areas and ensuring equipment and supplies are ready for each case Calculating and preparing anesthetic medications and drug dosages Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia patients Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography Monitoring patient recovery and ongoing procedural care Managing surgical and procedural inventory, including maintaining appropriate stock levels and coordinating supply orders Training and mentoring CVTs and veterinary assistants in surgical, anesthesia, and procedural protocols Serving as a clinical resource for the technician team and helping promote consistent, high-quality patient care Guiding clients through patient admission and discharge with confidence and compassion Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $25 - $31 per hour, for each hour worked This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday through Thursday.
