Overview Are you a compassionate, skilled veterinarian looking to make a difference in emergency and critical care? Join our team at VCA Civano Animal Hospital and Emergency Center, a 24-hour, state-of-the-art emergency and seven-day-a-week general practice hospital that provides comprehensive care for small animals, large animals, and exotics. Your shift will primarily be small animal, with exotics optional. We handle a range of emergencies from routine ear and skin problems to GDV, HBC, GIFB, vomiting, diarrhea, and more complex conditions such as DKA, septic abdomen, and pancreatitis. Our facility includes: Fully equipped ICU and emergency department staffed around the clock Advanced digital radiography with available consultations with a board‑certified radiologist Ultrasound and endoscopy capabilities 24/7 In‑house lab equipment including three chemistry analyzers, two CBC machines, coag analyzer, urine analyzer, iCa analyzer, blood gases, and an in‑house digital cytology machine with 24/7 pathologist consults A diverse caseload including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, large animals and small mammals Who We Look For Dedicated doctors who want to provide world-class medicine, collaborators who enjoy teaching and teamwork, curious lifelong learners, and empathetic partners who develop strong client and associate relationships built on trust.
