Maintenance Technician

Position Summary Responsible for helping maintain the hotel's guest rooms, public areas, equipment and building systems in safe, functional and presentable condition through preventive maintenance and timely repairs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Respond to maintenance requests in guest rooms and hotel operating areas. · Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs on hotel fixtures, equipment and building components. · Inspect guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas for maintenance and safety concerns. · Perform basic work involving plumbing, electrical fixtures, HVAC-related items, doors, locks, furniture, painting and general repairs within training and authorization. · Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance supplies and work areas in an orderly and safe condition. · Document completed work and communicate unresolved or higher-risk problems to management. · Assist with scheduled preventive-maintenance programs and property inspections. · Follow safety procedures, manufacturer instructions and applicable hotel requirements. · Respond professionally when maintenance work requires interaction with guests. Qualifications & Physical Requirements General mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability are preferred. Must be able to perform active physical work, use basic hand tools, climb or work from approved ladders when trained, and regularly bend, reach, lift, carry, push and pull. Specialized work must be performed only when appropriately qualified or authorized.
