Licensed Practical Nurse, OP

UPMC Department of Urology is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse, OP to join their team out of the Kaufmann Building in Oakland! This position will work Monday through Friday, daylight hours between 7am and 4:30pm, with no evenings, weekends, or holidays! The ideal candidate will have good organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a busy, fast-paced practice. Sign-On Bonus Details: $7,500 sign-on bonus available for nurses with over one year of experience $5,000 sign-on bonus available for Graduate Nurses and nurses with less than one year of experience.

Responsibilities:

• Draw blood.
• Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
• Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.
• Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
• Comply with all policies and procedures.
• Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.
• Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
• Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
• Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.

Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. One year clinical experience preferred.
