Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.What You Will Do:Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion (and related analog) circuitry. This circuitry will dominantly involve non-isolated and isolated switch mode power converters and linear converters. Main emphasis is on board-mounted power end use applications.Help to see circuit card development through its design phases, from requirements definition through initial integration testing.Test and validate circuit card designs by developing test procedures, performing data capture, and analyzing results to confirm adherence to project requirements.Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities, with moderate support from senior engineers. Assist in layer stackup definition.Qualifications You Must Have:A Masters degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and year of prior relevant experience OR an advanced STEM degree.The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer:Experience communicating and documenting technical topics at the small team level.Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with one or more of the following non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.Experience using tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or other similar tools.Experience with analog electronics design, including at least one of the following: FETs/BJTs, op-amp, high/low/band pass filters, clock/data termination, and comparator circuits.Experience in any one of the following: Familiarity with wide bandgap devices (SiC, GaN) in power electronics designs. Simulators such as SIMPLIS or SABER, or Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, and/or Hyperlynx.Design considerations for voltages > 400V and/or power > 10kW. Three-phase power systems, power factor control, and inverter/rectifier development.Program management tools such as Earned Value.
