Sr Director of Supply Chain

the client is a fully integrated cosmetics manufacturer managing research and development and quality control in-house, with a focus on growth in the consumer packaged goods sector within beauty. The Senior Director of Supply Chain will lead all aspects of the supply chain to maintain optimal finished goods inventory levels and align operations with customer demand in a rapidly expanding environment. This role will partner across functions to implement best practices while supporting an entrepreneurial approach, and it reports directly to the CEO. Key responsibilities include leading procurement to ensure effective supplier assessment and management of raw materials and related quality control processes. The role will enhance inventory controls and accuracy, collaborate with marketing and RandD to develop and improve packaging and fulfillment capabilities, and manage demand planning and production scheduling by integrating planning data into the ERP to support streamlined operations. It will also oversee bulk manufacturing, bottling, and kitting activities, support production managers, and help ensure compliance with relevant cGMP standards while aligning quality control with regulatory requirements. Additional responsibilities include optimizing fulfillment processes to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction, and developing the supply chain team through coaching and mentoring. The candidate is expected to have at least ten years of senior supply chain leadership experience in a multi-channel CPG environment, with direct manufacturing experience emphasizing scheduling, MRP, and production planning. Experience in beauty and/or CPG is essential, while related background in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical may be beneficial; familiarity with mid-size ERP platforms is expected, along with hands-on experience building and implementing supply chain processes in fast-paced entrepreneurial settings. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, and advanced credentials such as an MBA or supply chain certifications are preferred. Confidential
