About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in acute care with cardiac care experience License: Valid compact state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience managing a patient assignment ratio of 1:3 or 1:4 - Ability to float between units based on skill set Description: Experienced Acute Care Registered Nurse with cardiac care experience is needed. The position requires independent management of cardiac telemetry assignments. Candidates must possess current ACLS certification to support the cardiac patient population. Floating to other areas of the facility may be necessary based on patient needs and skill sets. Weekends are required, with every other weekend scheduled. Travel nurses should have a vehicle available for this assignment. The hospital environment supports a wide range of interdisciplinary services and patient diagnoses. Daily patient census and ratios reflect a busy cardiac telemetry unit. Special procedures and care for conditions like acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, and pacemaker management are expected. The ability to work collaboratively with a team, including IV teams and physical therapy, is essential. Candidates should have experience in medications and devices related to cardiac care. Strong clinical skills in telemetry monitoring and cardiac medication management are required. This role is vital for ensuring high-quality care for patients in need of cardiac telemetry.
