Staff Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and manage analytics and production data ETL/ELT systems for high-volume ingestion from diverse sources.
• Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and Product to enable reliable search-data logging, implementation, and usage.
• Ensure data quality, observability, reliability, security, and compliance across the data lifecycle.
• Optimize data systems for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability.
• Define and manage SLAs for data systems.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of relevant industry experience as a data engineer in a technology company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL, Python, and SQL.
• Preferred: 8+ years of overall data or engineering experience.
• Preferred: experience with distributed processing technologies, distributed storage systems, ETL schedulers, massive datasets, experimentation and statistics, ML concepts, and e-commerce or search.
