Unit Secretary PT Weekend

The major responsibility is to perform clerical duties on a nursing or clinical unit. Follow confidentiality expectations, cultivate a cooperative, professional, pleasant, and helpful atmosphere for staff, patients, and families. Observe all general hospital and departmental policies, guiding principles, rules, and regulations. Attend orientation and complete ongoing in-service education as required. Responsibilities Assemble new charts. Create requisitions. Promptly report needed repairs to related services. Answer telephone, relay messages, and make necessary appointments. Prepare charts for admissions, transfers, and discharges. Maintain forms in charts as needed. Communicate with other departments in a timely manner such as PAS and the Bed Board. Order and restock unit supplies for the unit. Maintain a clean and organized work area for the team. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school graduate or equivalent. Schedule Every other weekend only (Saturday/Sunday). 8/16 hours per pay period. Must be available for 2 weeks of day shift training. Float Position.
