Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment to include installation of equipment, when necessary, regular services, preventative maintenance and the ability to trouble shoot equipment breakdowns. Advanced mechanical knowledge of industry machinery is essential.Maintenance Technician Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforming daily preventative equipment maintenanceKnowledge of pneumatic and hydraulicsBasic electrical a bonusPerforming troubleshooting on mechanical issuesInitiating equipment repairsPerforming detailed machine maintenanceDay to day coverage of production equipment - respond to breakdowns, and production requests, quickly and efficiently to minimize downtimeExperience and knowledge of plumbing and welding are a plusEnsures work is performed safely and efficientlyMaintains accurate and timely records of maintenance performedComplies with all federal, state and local lawsProficient in the use of power and hand toolsComplete work orders and record material utilized on jobAssist with preventative maintenance as assignedAll other duties assignedRequirementsMaintenance Technician Job RequirementsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.High school diploma, GED or equivalentMaintenance Technician Essential QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
