Health & Safety Manager

In this role the Health & Safety Manager will direct and coordinate all safety and health related activities for the facility. Employee/Labor Health & Safety work encompasses activities related to the wellbeing of employees including: developing and implementing policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace, identifying potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices, and working conditions, investigating accidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence, providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to employee health and safety, maintaining and analyzing records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern and provide information required by regulatory agencies. Pay Range: $106,200.00 - $169,900.00

Responsibilities include managing experienced professionals who exercise independent discretion and/or manages a functional area or process that may or may not have direct reports, implementing policy and strategy for short-term results and influencing others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures, decision making guided by strategic objectives of specialization, influencing others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures, communicating with executive leadership, and supporting relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree; 6 y+ years of relevant experience including 3-5 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience or a Master's degree; 4+ years of relevant experience including 2-4 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience.
