Complete machining operations from blueprints, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions, ensuring parts meet all specifications and tolerances.
Work with complex, tight-tolerance parts made from various materials, including aluminum and copper, and adjust processes as needed to achieve required results.
Use pallet systems and machining cells when applicable to support efficient, high-volume production.
Handle and, where applicable, assist in inspecting micron-level tolerance parts with great care to avoid damage and maintain quality standards.
Troubleshoot machining issues, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions to return equipment to optimal operating condition.
Perform routine machine checks and basic preventive maintenance tasks to support safe and reliable operation.
Collaborate with team members and technical experts to refine machining processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area, including proper handling of metal shavings and tooling.
For higher-skill levels, perform complex setups, adjust programs at the machine as needed, and lead efforts to resolve challenging machining and process issues.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
Ability to stand for at least 8 hours and work 10-hour shifts as required.
Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, maneuver in tight spaces, and perform repetitive movements, including bending and twisting.
Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls throughout the shift.
Ability to work in an environment with distracting noise levels, dust, and metal shavings.

For entry-level roles (Level 1), recent completion of trade school or technical training with 0–6 months of experience and strong drive and job tenure is welcome.
For entry-level roles, ability to operate machines without performing setups or inspections may be sufficient.
For advanced roles (Levels 4–5), 5–10+ years of experience with demonstrated growth in the machining field.
For advanced roles, expertise in setups, on-machine programming adjustments, and advanced troubleshooting to diagnose issues and return machines to full operation.
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with CNC equipment, machine operation, and changeovers.
