Job Title: Entry-Level Commercial Electrician

Monday to Friday

Main scope: Installing commercial lighting

Entry level candidates up to journeyman electricians are welcomed

This entry-level commercial electrician role focuses on installing and commissioning lighting systems for a new construction project. You will support the electrical team with rough-in work, lighting installation, and power turn-up, contributing to a high-profile commercial build. The initial assignment runs for approximately two weeks on this project and then continues on to subsequent projects under a 6‑month contract-to-hire arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial lighting systems, including fixtures, LED tape, and strip lighting throughout the facility.
• Perform rough-in electrical work for patios and other designated areas in a new construction environment.
• Support the main scope of work to safely and efficiently turn power on throughout the facility.
• Install lighting that accentuates architectural elements around tasting bars, main dining rooms, private event spaces, and outdoor patios.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand electrical layouts, fixture locations, and circuiting requirements.
• Assist with conduit bending and installation to route wiring according to project specifications and codes.
• Help troubleshoot basic electrical issues under the guidance of more experienced electricians.
• Follow all site safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment while working on an active construction site.
• Collaborate with other electricians and construction trades to complete tasks on schedule and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Essential Skills

• Entry-level commercial construction electrical experience or training.
• Ability to install lighting and light fixtures in a commercial environment.
• Basic proficiency with blueprint reading to follow electrical plans and layouts.
• Fundamental skills in conduit bending and installation.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving common electrical issues.
• Ability to work safely on an active construction site and follow established safety protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
• Experience or familiarity with LED tape and strip lighting installation.
• Exposure to commercial construction projects, particularly in hospitality or similar environments.
• Willingness to work in a contract-to-hire arrangement over approximately 6 months.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and take direction from more experienced electricians.

Work Environment

This role is based on a new construction site for a winery, working primarily on commercial lighting and electrical systems. You will work in an active construction environment that may include indoor areas such as dining rooms and event spaces, as well as outdoor patios. The schedule follows typical commercial construction hours, with the need to remain flexible to meet project deadlines. Work involves using standard electrical tools and equipment, handling lighting fixtures, conduit, and wiring, and operating in coordination with other trades. The culture emphasizes merit-based recognition, safety, and teamwork on a fast-paced project site.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seven Hills, OH.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
