POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for positive experience of guests while maintaining the quality standards of Baia Beach Club. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. You should also be available to work in day and evening shifts including weekends and holidays.

• Control the flow of work in the room by seating guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following and enforcing check issue procedures.
• Take Room Service orders.
• Handle reservation book, take incoming telephone calls, note reservations and special requests by guests.
• Welcome guests to the F&B Outlets in a warm and courteous way.
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists.
• Manage reservations.
• Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas.
• Provide menus and announce Servers’ name.
• Greet guests upon their departure.
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options.
• Maintain a clean reception area.
• Perform opening and closing duties, as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School or equivalent education required.
• Prior work experience as a Host/Hostess in Hotel or Restaurant preferred.
• Perform general clerical tasks including maintaining logbooks and reservation books.
• Assist in table setting and general dining room maintenance during peak periods.

• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Experience in managing reservations.
• Demonstrable customer-service skills
• Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
• Availability to work in shifts as needed.
• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift.
