The Dual Enrollment Coordinator supports the growth of Cleveland State's Dual Enrollment program. This role helps high school students earn college credit by coordinating program operations, advising, compliance, and outreach efforts. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the college and local high schools, building and maintaining relationships with administrators, counselors, and families. Key responsibilities include managing student registration and advising, monitoring academic progress, coordinating student events, and ensuring compliance with state and institutional requirements. This position requires a student-focused approach and plays an important role in expanding access and supporting student success in early postsecondary opportunities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICIATIONS
Work activities routinely involve the use of standard office equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, scanners, telephones, and other related devices. Employees are expected to perform tasks such as data entry, document preparation, email communication, and report generation using these tools.
JOB LOCATION
This on-site position is based in the Early Post-Secondary Opportunities Department located in the Student Affairs Building on the main campus of Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tennessee. The role involves travel to service-area high schools across the college's five-county region, as well as occasional travel to state meetings, conferences, and professional events. Additional travel within the service region for meetings, outreach, and program-related activities is also expected.

The Dual Enrollment Coordinator supports the growth of Cleveland State's Dual Enrollment program. This role helps high school students earn college credit by coordinating program operations, advising, compliance, and outreach efforts. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the college and local high schools, building and maintaining relationships with administrators, counselors, and families. Key responsibilities include managing student registration and advising, monitoring academic progress, coordinating student events, and ensuring compliance with state and institutional requirements. This position requires a student-focused approach and plays an important role in expanding access and supporting student success in early postsecondary opportunities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICIATIONS
- Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid driver's license.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in any combination of:
- Education (e.g., admissions; instruction; student orientations; etc.).
- Advising (e.g., assistance with course selection/resources; educational planning; monitoring student progress, etc.).
- Program Coordination (e.g., planning/implementing/supporting initiatives; managing timelines/logistics; collaborative efforts; tracking program outcomes, etc.).
- Lead the daily operations of the Dual Enrollment program, with a focus on growth, retention, and student success.
- Coordinate academic pathways that align high school graduation requirements with college degree completion.
- Oversee Dual Enrollment Grant reporting, reconciliation, and compliance with institutional, state, and TBR (Tennessee Board of Regents) requirements.
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing and recruitment strategies to increase program participation.
- Maintain and update pathway models and program information across communication channels, including the college website.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Dual Enrollment students. Responsibilities include advising them on course selection, registration, academic progress, and program requirements.
- Monitor and track student academic performance, attendance, and engagement, providing timely support and referrals as needed.
- Use proactive communication methods (email, phone, text, etc.) to support early intervention efforts and build strong student relationships.
- Coordinate advising and registration processes in collaboration with academic departments and deans.
- Serve as a liaison to high schools, students, and families for Dual Enrollment and EPSO programming, providing clear communication on deadlines, eligibility, program updates, and events.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with high school administrators, counselors, and faculty to ensure alignment and ongoing support.
- Support and participate in outreach events, orientation sessions, and college visit opportunities for prospective EPSO students.
- Assist with EPSO department-wide initiatives, provide support to other EPSO areas during peak periods, and serve as a representative of the broader department when appropriate.
- Plan and coordinate EPSO-related events, including orientation sessions, recruitment activities, and graduation celebrations.
- Maintain accurate records of student advising, progress, and interactions in compliance with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and institutional policies.
- Track and report program data and student outcomes, assist with MOUs (Memorandums of Understanding) and articulation agreements, and support continuous program improvement.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, TBR, and institutional regulations; stay current on best practices; and be available during peak periods, including occasional extended or evening hours.
- Serve on college committees as required.
- The Dual Enrollment Coordinator will be required to meet standards now required or which may be required by the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC).
- May be required to achieve additional skill, knowledge, or credential levels.
- The role requires flexibility in working hours, especially during peak periods.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage a wide range of audiences-including students, parents, faculty, and K-12 partners-through clear, professional, and responsive interactions.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate tasks, and deliver high-quality, student-centered service in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with student information systems, data management practices, and recordkeeping standards, and the ability to maintain accurate records, manage student data, and utilize technology effectively.
- Familiarity with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and related compliance regulations and the ability to ensure adherence to policies governing dual enrollment, early college, and postsecondary programs.
- Analytical skills and the ability to interpret, apply, and use data to support continuous improvement, program evaluation, and student success outcomes.
- Commitment to customer service best practices and the ability to deliver responsive, consistent, and student-centered support while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Familiarity with dual enrollment policies, high school partnerships, and postsecondary pathways, with the ability to support program implementation, stakeholder engagement, and grant-related initiatives.
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including evenings and extended hours, to support peak periods and program needs.
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) to create documents, manage data, prepare reports, and support daily operations.
