RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with holiday rotation
• Up to one working weekend shift every 4 weeks required
• On-call requirements: up to 4 weeknight call shifts per 4-week schedule
• Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units and sister facilities
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks as needed
• 2 years of experience strongly preferred, first-timers accepted
• Scrub experience strongly preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, Radiation Badge (provided by agency)
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• SC or Multi State/Compact RN license required
• Work with all surgical specialties including trauma, transplant, ortho, neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotics
• Train to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Use EPIC charting system
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Hurricane season assignment to emergency response teams may be required (June-November)

This Level I academic trauma center features 21 operating room suites within a Magnet designated department that provides cutting-edge technology and comprehensive surgical services. The facility operates as a teaching hospital with 820 staffed beds and maintains a dynamic, nurse-driven environment. The main operating room team consists of 75% registered nurses and 25% certified surgical technologists, offering extensive interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary services.
