• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 1:30 PM–6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 12:30 PM–6:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, friendly, and professional Reception & Student Check-Out Coordinator to join our afterschool program team. This important role helps create a safe and welcoming environment for students and families. The Coordinator manages the program entrance, supports student dismissal, and ensures that children are released only to authorized adults listed on their approved pick-up list.

Responsibilities

• Welcome families, students, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Monitor the program entrance and maintain a safe, organized check-out process.
• Ensure parents and visitors do not enter restricted student areas.
• Verify authorized pick-up individuals before releasing students.
• Answer incoming phone calls using proper phone etiquette.
• Respond to parent questions and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Complete light data entry and filing.
• Provide basic administrative support to the Program Director.
• Maintain an organized and professional reception area.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older .
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to successfully complete required background screening.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Windows, email, and data entry.
• Professional appearance and personable attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous receptionist, administrative, school, or childcare experience is a plus but not required.
