Mechanical Engineer (Teradyne, North Reading, MA)

Opportunity Overview Lead quality initiatives across mechanical and electro‑mechanical subsystems Develop and maintain standards for design processes, documentation, and testing Collaborate with Design, NPI, and Supply Line teams to ensure quality compliance Build and execute design verification testing, including fixture development Support education and training on quality processes and workmanship standards Partner with global teams to investigate and test engineering designs Qualifications BS in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree preferred) 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in fast‑paced environments Proficiency in SolidWorks, GD&T, FEA, and tolerance analysis Experience with electro‑mechanical packaging (sheet metal, plastics, cabling) Knowledge of DFM/DFA, QA principles, and design verification testing Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Self‑motivated and team‑oriented with hands‑on approach Experience with RCA methods (8D, 5W, A3) and CAPA documentation Lean Six Sigma certification and FMEA experience preferred Local to the position location; relocation not provided Position not eligible for visa sponsorship Compensation The base salary range for this role is $100,000‑160,000. This range is a good faith estimate and may fluctuate based on experience, skill set, and demand. Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
