Floating Requirement: Yes, between units

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Block Scheduling Required: Yes

Patient Ratios: 1:11

• Washington License Required
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Job Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years
• Previous Charge Experience: Required
• Patient Care Experience:
  • Trauma Level I Experience: Preferred
  • Trauma Level II Experience: Required
  • Travel Experience: Required
• Certifications Required:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • RRT

Skills and Equipment Proficiency

Candidates should possess skills in the following areas:

• Aerosol Set Up (Mask & Trach)
• Medications: Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, etc.
• Ventilation Support: BiPAP, CPAP, Emergency Department
• Tracheostomy Care and Management
• Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
• Pediatric Patient Care
• Mechanical Ventilation Weaning

Interdisciplinary Support & Patient Care

Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics

• Daily Census: To be determined
• Number of Rooms: To be determined
• Special Procedures: Various specialty procedures available

Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may lead to termination of the assignment or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Communication devices necessary for job duties will be provided at no cost.
