Tax Accountant

Serve as a key resource for internal teams regarding taxability questions and tax-related matters. Develop a broader understanding of various tax disciplines and business operations. Responsibilities Oversee multi-state sales and use tax compliance activities, including preparation, filing, payments, and resolution of tax notices. Review, verify, and maintain customer and supplier exemption certificates. Perform tax account reconciliations and assist with accurate general ledger reporting. Research tax questions and provide support to internal departments and customers. Gather and organize data required for tax filings, reporting, and external compliance partners. Assist with tax audits, state registrations, account maintenance, closures, and process improvement projects. Support additional tax-related initiatives as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field preferred. 3-5+ years of experience handling multi-state sales and use tax compliance within a corporate environment. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of sales and use tax regulations and compliance requirements.
