Additional Posting Information A Researcher 2 position is available in a laboratory devoted tobiochemical and molecular studies of the mammalian retina in theDepartment of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Houston.The lab employs molecular, cellular, electrophysiological andbiochemical approaches to investigate the mechanism ofphotoreceptor cell death and the application of gene therapy inmice expressing mutant forms of photoreceptor-specific genes thatare equivalent to human variants. To work under the directions ofthe PIs of the lab to perform experiments and provide data toPIs. Requirements Bachelor's in biochemistry or cellbiology with 3-year experience. Prior experience in molecularbiology is preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu ofeducation. MQ: Bachelor's Degree with 3 years experience.
