Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 18 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Evenings Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, NRP preferred Must-Have: Recent experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers Driver's license required Description: The role involves working in a fast-paced and high-acuity Emergency Room. Candidates will be responsible for the assessment and care of patients presenting with various medical emergencies, including trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and strokes. The department features 20 beds, including 5 trauma bays and 10 observation beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio in zones is 1:4 and 1:6 in Fast Track. The facility is equipped with a separate triage area and security presence 24/7. Nurses will be required to read and interpret telemetry strips. There will be a charge nurse present on each shift, and support staff will be available. Availability for varying weekend and holiday requirements is expected. Nurses may need to float to other units as necessary. All shifts will follow a predetermined schedule set by leadership. Candidates must adhere to the fingernail policy, which prohibits artificial nails in patient care areas. Passing a nursing exam during orientation is mandatory for continued employment. Additional requests for time off will not be approved after initial submission.
