Senior Field Service Engineer- Honolulu, Hawaii

Abbott seeks a Senior Field Service Engineer for its Diagnostics Division to support advanced diagnostic instrumentation and laboratory automation systems in the Honolulu and Oahu territory. The role requires independent problem-solving, technical expertise, and customer relationship management in a field-based, remote position with up to 50% travel.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade complex diagnostic instruments and automation systems
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of hardware, software, and system-level issues independently
- Serve as technical escalation point for critical customer issues and complex service situations
- Manage assigned territory, prioritize service activities, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Mentor Field Service Engineers and collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Applications, and Engineering teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant field service experience
- Minimum 5 years of Field Service Engineer experience
- Valid driver's license with ability to travel locally up to 95%
- Troubleshooting expertise with laboratory instrumentation and automation systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, VPN, and remote diagnostic tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for customer-facing technical environments
- Biomedical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
Compensation: $31.75–$63.55/hour
